Kid’s Club Summer Program

Programs available at: Bristol School, Riverview School, Salem Grade School, Trevor-Wilmot School and Wheatland Center School

Kid’s Club Summer Child Care program will only operate Monday through Friday 6:30AM to 6:00PM. The first day of the program will be the day after the last day of school in each school district and the last day will be the day before school goes back into session. All of the programs will be closed for the July 4th holiday.

Kid’s Club will operate from 6:30AM to 6:00PM, Monday through Friday. The day will usually start with many indoor activities such as; board games, puzzles, blocks, books, and music for them to work and play with. If they would like, there will also be an art area set up with crayons, markers, paints, scissors, glue and many other art supplies. Several times a week, there will be an art project offered for the children to do at their leisure. The children will also be allowed to occasionally watch videos or play video games.

Around 9:30 we will have a morning snack provided by the center. After snack we will be going outside depending on the weather. Outside, we will spend time on the grounds surrounding the school where we will have different outside games and activities such as; basketball, four square, jump rope, croquet, bocce ball, child-safe horse shoes, and shuffle board. On the hotter days we will be playing in sprinklers to get wet and cooled down. We may also go on walks during the summer or to other local parks for more games and activities.

Around noon we will have lunch either at the center or one of the parks. Lunch will be followed by a cool down time, which may include a short chapter book, group games, or a movie.

After the cool down time the children will have an afternoon snack. Then the children will choose to play indoors or return to the outside grounds for more games and activities until their parents arrive to pick them up.

If your child is attending summer school, the Kid’s Club staff will walk them to and from their programs throughout the summer.  On days that Kid’s Club is on a field trip you and your child will have to decide between attending the field trip or summer school. If you choose to not attend the field trip with Kid’s Club, then you will have to find alternate care for that day. No fee will be charged if you find alternate care when this occurs. Please let us know as soon as possible if your child will be attending any of these programs.
